Somatic Support for Visibility Challenges

Too many solopreneurs struggle with visibility.
You want to show up fully, to share the message you know will resonate, but something seems to take you off track each time.
Maybe it is a creeping self-doubt as you compare yourself to others or the frustration of perfectionism that keeps your work in endless revision as fears of judgment and burnout swirl beneath the surface.
Perhaps it is a subtle tightening in your chest or the fog that clouds your mind the moment you sit down to create.
You might find yourself even avoiding making a website or following up with collaboration opportunities, finding something else to prioritize.
Each attempt feels harder than it should, leaving you wondering how to break free and connect with the people who need to hear your voice.
You’ve tried everything – this business is your dream, and hopefully your way to financial sustainability! Of course, you avail yourself to good solid business coaching and marketing strategy, maybe investing in workbooks and scripts. And you’ve done so much inner work – the self-care routines, relaxation techniques, meditation, journaling and therapy.
You’ve followed every bit of advice, hoping something will help you share your message with ease. Yet, despite these efforts, you still find yourself held back, unable to fully show up and share the truth of what you have to offer.

THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AUTHENTICALLY VISIBLE
Most practices have likely taught you to manage stress by turning inward, disconnecting from the stresses around you. It is a valuable skill—especially in a world that encourages us to stay small and invisible for safety. Our culture, and its its forms of oppression shape our nervous system’s development, subconsciously pushing us towards the perceived safety of invisibility.
But when it comes to being visible and creating meaningful content for your work, you need to feel relaxed while focusing outward into the chaos of the world and speaking truth. A small but powerful shift in how you use your nervous system can help you develop deep ease with being seen and heard.

Be Radically Visible:
- Root in Resilience — nourish your nervous system to build resilience as you uproot patterns shaped by systemic oppression
- Cultivate Connection – A unique body based relational approach to allowing creativity to flow and content creation to feel intuitive.
- Grow Your True Voice – Unearth blocks in self-expression, freeing you say what needs to be said, even if it isn’t what people are used to hearing

Hi! I am Tanya, and despite being an extreme introvert, I believe that embodied radical visibility are the most loving thing you can offer yourself, your loved ones and your community.
I have over twenty years of experience helping hundreds of people from around the world move past shame, acknowledge their strength and resilience, and embody their radical selves. I am currently completing the three year Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner Certification.
I bring to this work my extensive training in how our bodies and minds respond to stress and my deep lived experience as a survivor of traumatic abuse. For more about me and my story, please click below.
How It Works
The Sessions:
We will meet virtually in weekly one-on-one sessions using Zoom.
Each session is about ninety minutes long. In these sessions, we connect to your body’s wisdom through guided awareness of sensations, movements, feelings and thoughts as you practice relating to yourself and to others. These Somatic Practices are suitable for all bodies – you may choose to be seated, lay down or move around. The practices are intended to be gentle.
Sessions are $120 CAD each, payable at the time of booking through Calendly (credit card or PayPal).
A minimum of weekly 12 sessions is strongly recommended to ensure you have the consistent ongoing support that big changes require.
To encourage fully embodying your feelings as they arise, I offer email support (or a more secure, private app if you prefer) where you can safely share your experiences and emotions when they are alive. Your sharing will be responded to as soon as I can, likely within 24 hours. You need witnessing, support, and encouragement when you need it, not when it fits into someone else’s schedule.
We could be a great fit if:
You are receptive to a very gentle approach.
Science suggests that somatic approaches are most effective when offered gently over time. While I will be an enthusiastic cheerleader, my intention is to not push.
You need trauma informed support that understands systemic conditioning and challenges.
I’ve shaped this work to support vulnerability around body image, fear of rejection and sensitivity to feedback for our colonial world.
You struggle with shame.
From your past or present, shame can be from your own actions or carried from others who could not process their own shame. I believe we need people with a variety of lived experiences sharing their gifts.
You can see yourself working with someone with my values.
I am committed to engaging in ways that are:
- Informed by fat acceptance and in opposition to diet culture
- Feminist, anti-oppressive and anti-racist
- Queer and trans affirming
- Neurodiversity affirming
I start with honesty:
I cannot help you with:
- business coaching or marketing strategy (but I can refer you and support you in implementation!)
- a replacement for medical care. While I work with holistic and somatic practices, I believe that Western medicine has a valuable place, and I encourage you to consult with your healthcare provider for any medical decisions.
- quick solutions for an urgent financial crisis. The roots of visibility challenges can take time and gentleness to correct. If you are in this situation, I emphasize and am willing to help you manage the stress of it, but somatic strategies are not a quick fix.
- I am not the right fit for those whose personal or business practices uphold oppressive systems, including those that undermine feminist, anti-racist, queer and trans-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, or fat-acceptance values.
My intentions for you are:
You stop avoiding, and start sharing your voice.
You get your website published. Content creation in your channels of choice become a regular, but not-too-consuming part of your week. You seek out new opportunities to connect.
You have more time.
Without the freeze or overwhelm that visibility can trigger, you have more time to do the work that you’re here to do. And that means, more time for you and those who mean the most to you.
You feel really good about what you share.
You know how you feel when you share someone’s content that really inspires you? Not only will others feel that about your work, but you will feel that. You will feel safe, worthy and belonging.
You connect with the people who need your work.
This is what it is all about – you do good work and more people need to benefit from it.
